Athom Homey Pro - Smart Hub

Homey Pro is a hub for all your wireless and smart devices. With Homey you can control your various devices in one and the same system, whether they communicate via Z-wave, Zigbee, WiFi, BT or 433 Mhz.

Homey + Tibber

Homey is one of the most powerful hubs in the market that is able to combine all the common types of communication available in smart homes today. This means that almost every device you buy can be controlled via your Homey and the free app available for both Android and iPhone. Get notifications from your sensors, control lighting, thermostats and locks directly from your mobile.

Homey supports, Z-wave+, 433 MHz, ZigBee, Bluetooth, WiFi and IR

With a Homey connected to Tibber, you get the opportunity to get data from more sensors in the app and the possibility to control several different models of thermostats. Which gives even better opportunities to control the heat in the home with Tibber's smart algorithms and lower your heating costs.

Thermostat

All devices that support heat control in the hub appear as thermostats in the Tibber app. Control the temperature of the home directly from the app and take the help of Tibber's algorithms for a smarter heat smoothing.

Temperature

The temperature sensors supported by the hub appear in the Tibber app and show the current temperature.

Electricity Consumption

Sensors that measure electricity consumption and are supported by the hub appear in the Tibber app and show current consumption.

Sensors

Other sensors that measure humidity, brightness, movement, etc. and are supported by the hub appear in the Tibber app and display current data.

Works with

Homey supports the communication methods that are most common in the home, which also means that most of them can be connected to a Homey. The platform is open source, which means that anyone can contribute with new functions, which is also the reason why the range of connections is so large. Here you see some brands that work with Homey, if you want a complete list go to https://apps.athom.com.

Homey or Homey Pro?

Homey Pro is a more powerful version of Homey for those who need to be able to control even more devices than a standard Homey can. It is not the number of physical devices that limit but the number of different apps you install on your Homey. Normally you can say that one app is required per brand you connect.

Homey can handle up to 20 different apps without experiencing slow, which is good enough for most users. But if you are interested in being able to build with even more different brands, Homey Pro is the solution, which can handle up to twice as many apps (40).

  2. Homey will start up, it will take a few seconds for it to boot. When done, Homey will tell you to go to https://setup.athom.com. You do this via a computer or a mobile phone that has WiFi connection.

  3. On your computer / mobile phone you will now get instructions to follow. Start by connecting your computer / mobile phone to the WiFi network HomeySetup. When connected, the process on the screen will continue. Then choose your own WiFi network and enter the password to connect your Homey to your home network. Homey will now see if there are updates to download, if it does, Homey will automatically install them, it may take a few minutes.

  4. You will now get Athom's terms of use for Homey on the screen, read through and approve these to proceed. The next step is to connect your new Homey to your Athom account, if you have no account with Athom, click New Account to create an account. Once your Homey is connected to your Athom account, the installation is complete.
