Because Fibaro senses the temperature and reacts to high temperature increases and if the temperature exceeds 54 ° C, it can also be used as a temperature sensor in the home. The smoke detector is powered by a battery that lasts up to 3 years, making it very easy to place where it is needed. To be able to use the smoke detector that communicates via the Z-wave, a hub that supports this, for example Futurehome or Athom Homey, is needed.


Indoor temperature becomes available in the Tibber app if the sensor is connected to a supported hub.


Fibaro smoke detector uses Z-Wave (868.42MHz) to communicate. That is, you need a smart hub that supports that type of communication. It can be Futurehome or Homey.

If you have a hub with support for Z-wave, the installation is done in seconds. Put your hub in "learning mode" and press the button on the top of the smoke detector 3 times. When you do, a signal is sent to your hub and your sensor is now connected.
