New functions

Released with iOS 6.2, and Android 3.9.0.

  • Life is better in color

    • We’re introducing color support for lights in the Tibber app.

  • Pair your Hue lights from a distance

    • For those of you who are just dying to pair that Hue gateway in your summer house, you can now do exactly that using the ID of your Philips Hue gateway.

  • New logo

    • As promised in our May 27th event, the app has now been updated with our fresh new tibber logo.

New functions
  • Let there be light!

    • We now introduce our next big thing in Tibber land in support for lighting. You can now pair both your Hue lights and any light source from Homey to your Tibber app. Turn rooms and individual lights on or off and dim.

  • Smart charging for all!

    • Smart charging is now moved out of beta and is live for all customers.

  • Smart heating, german style

    • Support for tado devices including smart thermostat, smart radiator thermostat and smart ac is now moved out of beta and is live for all customers.

      • We are now introducing messages on the home screen making it simpler to understand status of your Energy subscription and get alerts in case of issues.

  • General:

    • New onboarding experience! 

      • New users will now experience a radically new and fancy onboarding experience. It has been redesigned, reimagined and revamped making it simpler for all prospect Tibber tribe members out there to get started.

    • This release primarily contains improvements to performance and overall app stability.

New features
  • General:

    • Tado now available as a power-up in beta mode!

      • Heating: This is now supported for view and control for smart heating devices including boilers, radiators and electric floor heating and shows temp, set temp, humidity and relative power (E.g. how much a valve is open for example). 

      • Hot water: For Hot Water we support showing state (On or Off), no configuration.

      • Cooling: For Smart AC we support viewing sensors (temp and humidity) today, no support for control since we don’t support cooling operation in smart heating yet (doh! it’s in the name!)

  • Android (3.5.13):

    • Fixed an issue where negative values didn’t showb in the real-time meter in the price bubble on the main screen

    • Fixed an issue with incorrect values being shown for Fronius power-ups

    • Improved app stability, primarily related to the analytics screen

  • Easee Updates:

    • New firmware for Easee chargers to improver master/slave load balancing for customers with multiple chargers in a daisy chain configuration.

    • Support for load balancing over Wi-Fi.

    • Fixed issue where the error message when changing phone number wouldn’t display properly

    • Fixed issue where enabling Smart Charging would fail for customers who has an Easee charger but not a Pulse

    • Smart charging support for Kia 2020-models with support for the UVO app. Car home location needs to be set in the car dashboard for SC to work properly. This feature is currently in beta (turn on Early features access).

    • Smart charging support for Hyundai 2020-models with support for the Blue Link app. Car home location needs to be set in the car dashboard for SC to work properly. This feature is currently in beta (turn on Early features access).

  • Android (3.5.10):

    • Complete rewrite of the live real-time energy graph with pinch & zoom and support for negative values.

    • Fixed app crashes related to the Easee screen.

    • Improved overall responsiveness related to the Easee screen and overall app experience.

    • Minor bug fixes related to layout.

    • Fixes related to change of email address.

    • Support for the new Pulse Stormtrooper edition.

  • New push notifications

    • Main fuse overload: Triggers a notification when you exceed your configured main fuse (requires pulse or watty).

    • Smart meter offline: Triggers a notification when the tibber service cannot communicate with your smart meter (requires pulse or watty).

  • Early features access

    • You can now manually enable early testing of new functions. The setting is available under my profile.

  • New analytics engine

    • The analytics engine has been rewritten from scratch and is now much more accurate when comparing with others. The consumption and production screens now support breakdown per day, month and year. If you experience issues please check that your heating type is set correctly for your home.

  • Updated solar comparison

    • Solar customers can now see a breakdown of how much of the energy produced is used by the home and how much is exported to the grid.

  • New push notifications

    • Low energy price alert triggers when tomorrow's price drops below 0.1 kr.

    • High energy price alert triggers when tomorrow's price exceeds 0.8 kr. 



  • App crashes related to smart charging screen and adding of new vehicles.
